“Associated with purity, longevity, and the inconceivable bliss of transcendent wisdom, White Tara responds to all who invoke her aid. Her seven eyes continually scan the ten directions alert for ways to ease ills of beings and support their practice of paramitas.
Pure white in color, arrayed in the Bodhisattva’s golden ornaments, and seated on a cosmic lotus topped by the disks of sun and moon, White Tara holds her left hand in the Vitarkamudra, the gesture of logical discourse. With her right hand, extended in the Varada mudra, she offers the heart-opening gift of understanding and mercy.
Lotuses arrayed around White Tara convey the wamth and fullness of copmassion that never fails. The blue-tinged lotus on her left, fully open, conveys the serene healing power of Padmapani, a manifestation of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.” -back descriptions
