Sculpture: Black Stone Sculpture attributed to Minoru Niizuma
Stone sculpture, possibly marble. The mounting base has broken. The carving is in excellent condition. The artist is unknown but we are attributing it to Minoru Niizuma. In the style of Brancusi.
The shape is the stylized version of a head in profile. The face is polished stone and the “hair” is unpolished.
The size is 15″ wide x 11″ high x 4.75″ deep. The base measured 12″w x 7″d x 1/2″h.
